Why choose the Kovax Yellow Film series?

• Polyester film backing: Unlike traditional paper, the film is extremely tear-resistant and does not deform, which ensures a perfectly flat sanding surface.

• "Orange peel" removal: The P1000 grit on a hard film backing is second to none for leveling clear coat texture.

• Special anti-clogging coating: Prevents the build-up of debris and the formation of so-called "pills" that could scratch the paint.

• Grain uniformity: Guarantees a very shallow and regular scratch pattern, which is easy to remove with subsequent steps (Tolex/Buflex) or polishing compound.

Application and surfaces

The K1000 (Yellow Film) grit disc is the first step in the process of removing more serious paint defects and leveling surfaces on:

• new clear coats (removing texture and inclusions),

• hard High Solid (HS) and ceramic clear coats,

• large body panels (hoods, roofs, sides),

• headlight restoration (initial stage before finishing).

Storage instructions

• Store in a dry and clean place – contamination on the film disc can lead to deep scratches.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Recommended temperature: 10-30°C.

Occupational health and safety

• Respiratory protection: Strictly use a dust mask or a dust extraction system (dry sanding).

• Recommendation: For best results when removing texture, use a hard backing pad, and for sanding curves, use a soft interface pad.

• Note: Keep out of reach of children. Product intended for professional paint application use only.
