Würth Medium Polishing Sponge – Blue 170 mm

Color: Blue | Hardness level: Medium hard (Medium) | Diameter: 170 mm | Structure: Grooved (Spider web)

Effective paint preparation

The blue Würth polishing sponge is a versatile tool designed for the second stage of paint correction or single-step surface refreshing (One-Step). Thanks to the use of a spider web grooved structure, this sponge offers:

• Increased working surface, which allows for better utilization of the abrasive grain contained in polishing compounds.

• Effective removal of fine scratches, dullness, and residues from heavy polishing (cutting stage).

• Balanced cutting power, which, when combined with the appropriate compound, allows for achieving a high level of gloss while simultaneously removing defects.

Advanced pore structure and cooling

The sponge is made of high-quality open-cell foam, which guarantees:

• Optimal heat dissipation: The pore structure and surface grooving prevent the paint from overheating, which is crucial for coating safety.

• Constant performance: The open structure prevents the sponge from clogging with waste and dried-out compound, extending its service life.

• Harmonious results: The stability of the foam allows for a predictable finish on every type of paint.

Ergonomics and intelligent geometry

• Rounded edges: The sponge perfectly adapts to the curves and contours of the bodywork, minimizing the risk of point pressure and the formation of new scratches.

• Centering hole: The 170 mm diameter features a central hole that allows for quick and precise placement of the sponge on the backing plate, eliminating vibrations during operation.

• Beveled Velcro: Special cutting of the Velcro edge facilitates removing the sponge from the machine without the risk of damaging the fastening material.

Würth sponge hardness system

The blue sponge represents the middle of the professional Würth scale:

1. Green (Very hard): Maximum cutting and removal of deep scratches.

2. Blue (Medium hard): Paint preparation and removal of medium defects.

3. Orange (Soft): Finishing, removing holograms, and gloss enhancement.
