Würth Polishing Sponge Very Hard – Green 90 mm

Color: Green | Hardness level: Extra Hard | Diameter: 90 mm | Structure: Grooved (Spider web)

Maximum cutting power in a compact size

The green 90 mm diameter sponge is a professional tool for aggressive paint correction (cutting) on small surfaces. Thanks to the use of a grooved spider web structure, this pad offers:

• Precision detailing: Ideal for polishing headlights, door pillars (Piano Black), door handle recesses, and deeply contoured bumpers.

• Higher compound absorption: The groove structure absorbs significantly more polishing material, which translates into higher speed for removing deep scratches with lower compound consumption.

• Aggressiveness and efficiency: Allows for the instant removal of dulling and sanding marks in areas that large pads cannot reach.

Innovative cooling and foam structure

Despite its small size and high hardness, the sponge ensures full work safety thanks to:

• Open-cell foam: Ensures constant air circulation, which effectively dissipates heat generated during friction. This is crucial for small components that heat up much faster.

• Intelligent geometry: The grooved surface prevents excessive temperature increases, protecting the paint from burning.

• Parameter consistency: The sponge does not lose its hardness even during intensive work, which guarantees a predictable final effect.

Ergonomics and fit

• Rounded edges: Allow for safe work near edges and seals, adapting to curves without the risk of spot over-polishing.

• Convenient handling: The specially beveled Velcro edge allows for quick and easy removal of the sponge from the backing plate, protecting the foam structure from tearing.

• 90 mm size: Works perfectly with 75 mm diameter backing plates, providing a safe foam margin.

Area of application in the Würth system

The green sponge is the beginning of the spot correction process:

1. Green (Extra Hard): Maximum cut (removing deep scratches on small surfaces).

2. Blue (Medium Hard): Removing fine scratches and preparing details for polishing.

3. Orange (Soft): High-gloss finish and removing holograms from difficult areas.
