1. Application and Intended Surface Use
The 3M Trizact 3000 abrasive disc is a professional finishing disc on a foam backing, designed for removing fine scratches after initial sanding and preparing the painted surface for machine polishing. It uses micro-replication technology – pyramid-shaped structures expose fresh abrasive grain as they wear, ensuring perfect consistency.
Ideally suited for the following applications:
- Shallowing scratches after matting: Effectively removes marks left by P1500-P2500 sandpaper and Tolex / Bufflex discs.
- Preparation for paint finishing: Reduces to zero the risk of polishing haze or "holograms" from heavy-cutting lambswool pads.
- Work with a fine water mist (wet): The dampened surface eliminates disc clogging and lowers operating temperatures.
